I’m fond of this method, to an extent.

I started by scanning in notes from older games, and filing them with Paperport, a document handling program that came with my scanner. This was years ago. The problem became dealing with the proprietary file type. So I exported all the stuff to PDF.

That worked pretty well, to an extent. My biggest concern with this is that the files become easier to lose. You have to be careful to label the files well, and use the keywords that you’ll look for so that when you search for them you’ll find them.
