The Seinfeldian Chain as Game Development Inspiration
Posted by gm under Uncategorized
You all may have noticed, if anyone’s even reading all this, that I’m updating much more regularly lately. I haven’t missed a day in two weeks. Why is that? I ran across a concept called a Seinfeld Chain. What the heck is a Seinfeld Chain? Click here for the explanation, courtesy of Lifehacker, one of my favorite sites.
It’s kept me on track, oddly enough, when nothing else had. Thanks, Jerry.
I got to thinking about it, and the same thing that holds true for comedy holds true for anything. The more you do it, the better and easier it is. We may not all live in a house when we can game constantly, but we can sit down every day for 10 minutes and work on our games. As a GM, world development or prep for next week’s game. As a player, organization, reading up on options, plotting, etc.
Keeping our goals and ideas in our minds day to day can only benefit our gaming experience.
