Valuation of your Cadaver
$4680.00The Cadaver Calculator - Find out how much your body is worth. From Mingle2 - Free Online Dating
Mostly off topic but the potential value of a body is a not-to-be-overlooked issue in many games. I can see basing a Shadowrun or Cyberpunk game around the concept of organ-legging, or mysterious disappearances where the victims’ parts […]

GenCon - Day Four
The Sunday at any convention takes on a weird air of dizzy desperation, as half-zombied people try to squeeze in a few more memories before they must return to Mundania.
GenCon was no exception. Frantic last-minute shopping, checking out of the hotel, and saying goodbyes to people I don’t see often enough.

GenCon - Day Three
This morning was a slow start - last night’s migraine left me a bit too drained to make it an early morning. I didn’t have any plans for the day, and that was a novelty. I wound up volunteering for an hour at the WotC booth just to make sure the volunteers there got a […]

GenCon - Day Two
First thing this morning was a round of Xen’drik Expeditions - not the one I’d prepared, but I’m used to that game. Wecome to judging for the RPGA. It was a good module, for what it’s worth - ‘Shargon’s Rage’. It’s combat heavy, and I was eating the module without ever having played it. A […]

GenCon, Day One
All right, I was too tired last night to blog about the con itself.
GenCon this year seems to be a bit better organized. The line for admission was still long, but the wait was down to an hour and a half, from the three last year. I’m judging for the RPGA, so I didn’t have […]

Ah, Life’s Ironies…
I was on the Horseman Events site a while back. They run Consupport.org - one of the best and most reliable ways to organize GMs and volunteers for a convention. After I signed up for my slots, I noticed they were running a survey. I used to do survey work, so I try to have […]

4dventure?
WotC has replaced their D&D homepage with a countdown to 4dventure, which should go off at 6:30 PM EST Thursday.
I just made it to GenCon, and the big news is that there will be an announcement of 4th edition. The program book is full of dice with 4s showing.
Gods, another system to relearn? There better […]

Sex, Conventions, and the Single Gamer
One of my friends, who shall remain nameless, was chatting with me about the upcoming convention. She was eager to get to the convention because she expected it to be a building full of easy targets.
While that’s an extreme attitude, conventions well deserve their reputation as a hookup place. The potent combination of people who […]

Site Review - d20srd.org
Easy reference for a gamemaster is key. You just can’t remember every detail of the rules and try to keep the plots and the NPCs straight - unless you’re a GM god, in which case you should be contributing tips here instead of just reading them!
I find using a laptop at the table greatly helps […]
